I sub-edit and write for Chemistry Review, a quartley magazine for post-16 chemists. It aims to make chemistry accesible, exciting and understandable. Articles are curriculum relevant and related to exam specifications. I’m always looking for authors who are willing to write about their fastinating subject areas so if you’d like to write, just get in touch and I’ll pass on some more information. Here’s an example of the magazine front cover with the lead article based on my PhD research.
I have helped revise the latest edition (sixth) of Chemistry in Context by Graham Hill and Prof. Sir John Holman. It’s a comprehensive textbook, frequently dubbed the ‘subject bible’, providing students with accesible, informative and relevant content to help complement their Advanced Level studies. The latest revision isn’t out yet but will be soon. I’ve seen the proof and it looks ace!
I also blog with three brilliant scientists (a biologist, a psychologist and a physicist) and meet regularly to drain all of York’s coffee reserves, put the world to rights and talk science.
